Tips To Improve Your Mindset

At some point we’ve all felt like we aren’t enough. Throughout my life, in particular, at some point or another I’ve felt like whatever I wanted to accomplish was impossible, at least for me. I didn’t have the resources to get things done, I wasn’t smart enough, I wasn’t talented enough, I didn’t look the part, I didn’t have the right background.

Along the way I think I was conditioned to believe things like money was scarce, getting a stable job was the right thing to do, don’t question authority, don’t stand out and play to your strengths. The opportunities in your town are the limits of what’s available to you. Circumstances dictate results and being really successful or wealthy was for other people, it wasn’t going to be for me.

Now, do any of those sound familiar to you? Think about when you were growing up or where you’re at right now in your current life. Or more importantly, have you ever experienced one or more of those feelings at some time or another.

I learned that they are ALL LIES. Literally, all of them. And eventually, I learned to replace truths like I am smart enough, I have my own unique talents & strengths so I should build around those, there is more than enough opportunity and you can create your own opportunities, how I respond to my circumstances is what will dictate my results, it’s up to me to do the work.

Most things are possible. Resources play much less of a role in success than effort, consistency and perseverance.

Yes I still have those doubts. We all have doubts at some point in our lives. These lies try to creep in. But I know now NOT to feed into them.

Instead I focus on the truths that have allowed me to achieve any of the successes that I’ve been able to have in my life thus far.

So when you find your mindset drifting to places that don’t serve you well, I suggest that you list out your own truths like I just shared and focus in on those.

You can accomplish more than you think but you have to believe it before you can live it.

Stay positive, stay happy, stay motivated and continue to make your Future greater than your Past.
